Who we are
Prong Studios is a photography, film and live production studio based in Uyo, Akwa Ibom · Nigeria. We are the data controller for the information described here. Reach us at hello@prongstudios.co.
What we collect, and why
Enquiries. When you send an enquiry we collect your name, email address, phone or WhatsApp number, preferred contact channel, and whatever you tell us about the project — including the date, location, budget band and how you found us. We use it to reply to you and, if it becomes a project, to run that project. We do not add you to a mailing list and we do not pass it to anyone else.
Analytics. If you allow analytics cookies we collect anonymous usage data — which pages are visited, which films are played, and where visitors arrive from. Nothing loads until you choose. You can change that choice at any time: .
Server logs. Our host records IP addresses and request details for security and rate limiting. These are kept for 30 days.
Our lawful basis
We process enquiry data on the basis of your consent, which you give by ticking the box on the form, and on the basis of taking steps at your request before entering into a contract. Analytics is processed on consent alone.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not become projects: 24 months, then deleted.
- Enquiries that become projects: for the life of the project plus 7 years, to meet tax and contract record-keeping obligations.
- Analytics data: 14 months.
- Server logs: 30 days.
Photography and film of you
Where we photograph or film an event you are attending, that is handled under the contract with whoever commissioned the work. We publish client work in our portfolio only where publication has been cleared in writing. If you appear in something on this site and would rather not, email us and we will remove it.
Your rights
Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act you can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or withdraw consent. Email hello@prongstudios.co and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response you can complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
Sharing
We use third parties to host this site, deliver video, and send email. They process data on our instructions only. We do not sell personal data and we never will.
